Aphena to Display at Global Conference on Barrier Packaging

Aphena Pharma is excited to participate in this year's Barrier Pharma Packaging 2014, an international conference on polymers hosted by Applied Market Information, LLC. The conference will take place October 14-15 at the Hyatt Regency Princeton Hotel in Princeton, N.J.

Barrier Pharma Packaging 2014 brings together experts in pharmaceutical packaging specification, design, manufacture and testing, along with polymer producers and machinery suppliers, to network and debate the latest developments in markets, technical and regulatory issues, economics and production technology.

The pharmaceutical industry is facing ever-increasing demands on drug packaging as safety requirements specify child-resistant (CR) and senior-friendly (SF) formats, in addition to regulatory changes such as the new DEA reclassification of hydrocodone from a Class III to a Class II substance.

The conference is a perfect fit for Aphena because we have extensive experience with packaging and storing prescription and DEA controlled-substance products, and we are equipped for solid-dose and semi-solid pharmaceutical packaging projects of every size and complexity. In fact, we currently maintain some of the highest production capacity levels in our industry, offering over 250 million bottles, over 400 million pouches, over 300 million blisters, over 10 million tubes and mixing over 1.5 million gallons of product.

Some of our many offerings include:

  • Bottling
  • Blister packaging
  • Pouching
  • Unit dosing
  • Kitting
  • Controlled substances
  • Secondary packaging
  • Liquids and topicals
  • Packets
